Garrett Torbert, formed the Golden Triangle Theatre company in June of 2021 out of a vision to create and cultivate a passion for Theatre and Performing Arts in Columbus, Ms. Inspired by his students, he decided to go bold and institute a unique program that inspires youth in the region of the Golden Triangle with the opportunity to explore their talents with other young individuals through arts education and performance. He also is an active performer and voice teacher with his most recent engagements including Some Enchanted Evening: “An Evening of Song” and Tony in West Side Story. His students have been successfully cast in productions and won contracts through local school productions, semi-professional, and professional theatre companies such as Red Mountain Theatre, Alabama School of Fine Arts and Tuscaloosa Children’s Theatre. He serves as Instructor of Voice at Mississippi State University and pianist/organist at Annunciation Catholic Church in Columbus, Ms.
