Our History

Golden Triangle Theatre company was founded in June of 2021 out of a vision to create and cultivate a passion for Theatre and Performing Arts in Columbus, MS. Executive Director, Garrett Torbert, along with other community members and founding board members, Tom and Ann Buckley, Karen Overstreet, Geraldine Coleman, Steve Greenough, Phillip Stockton, and Lindsay Clemons, created a unique program that inspires youth in the region of the Golden Triangle with the opportunity to explore their talents with other young individuals through arts education and performance.

The company has great vision and a long-term goal is to see it offer pre-professional training training through its music and theatre academy for young and aspiring performers ages 6-18 who are looking to pursue a career in the performing arts.
